Published and recommended by the Federation of the German Construction Industry - Construction professionals use the BAL (Construction Site Equipment and Tools List) with the current values for small equipment and tools compiled by the Federation of the German Construction Industry as the basis for their calculations and for internal and external invoicing.

The BAL contains all small equipment and tools that are usually required for the construction work, from stripping moulds to scraper blades. It also includes all small appliances for construction site equipment and safety. The BAL numbers, designation, parameter, unit and price are given for all equipment and tools. The BAL is - also as an important supplement to the Construction Equipment Register (BGL) - the basis for internal invoicing, inter-company calculations, materials and inventory management as well as internal scheduling. For these areas of application, working with the current values compiled by the Federation of the German Construction Industry is essential. The BAL was last published in 1990, but after ten years it was absolutely necessary to revise and update the content, especially the values. For the 2001 edition, all technical and economic data has therefore been brought up to date.
